Please place any orders before August 1st. We will be coffee hunting in Nicaragua until August 27th. The physical store will be closed as well as the online store. New coffees will be available in September along with the Rocks. There have been shipping issues for our coffee from Nicaragua and this is why we are temporarily out of the Rocks.

Welcome to De Palo Coffee

When in Nicaragua, at someone’s house and they offer you coffee, you might ask them: “Where is this coffee from?” Their response might be, “Es café de palo.” Meaning it is coffee right from our own coffee trees here on the property or from our farm up the way.

We buy coffee directly from farmers (we also buy indirectly, from our exporter and importer) giving farmers a more direct source to income and interest free loans each year. We are a part of the community down in the Jalapa region of Nicaragua.

Left to Right, Amanda O’Connell, Dennis O’Connell, Yahoska Avila, Joel Avila, Diana Sanchez. We are outside Joel’s house after our meeting and day at the mountain. Joel Avila and Saul Avila are brothers and Yahoska is managing and working the farm for her husband Saul while he is serving the military.
